Ed Medici

Ed was born in Brooklyn, raised in Northern New Jersey and Colorado, and lives in Orlando. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.

He started photographing with his Dad’s Olympus rangefinder, and learned B&W film developing & printing in the 9th grade. His passion later became photographing the beauty of the figure in the landscape.

He attended the prestigious Winona School of Professional Photography outside Chicago where he studied portraiture, weddings, glamour, and boudoir, and in 1989 became a professional studio photographer

He also studied figure photography at the Center for Photography in Woodstock under such artists as Opalenik, Clergue, Imboden, Sturges, Williams, Gibson, Holz, and many others.

Working mainly in black and white, his work captures the form and the natural shapes of the figure in relation to the environment in a distinctive classic style.

Ed’s artwork has been displayed at over 60 exhibits in Florida and Virginia since 2019.
